  • Young In ACE Installs ACE 3000 ICP-MS and Provides Technical Training at IDQC in Vietnam

Korean mass spectrometry company Young In ACE recently completed the installation of the ACE 3000 ICP-MS system and conducted technical training at a pharmaceutical analysis institute in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The project took place from March 2 to March 6, 2026, at the Institute of Drug Quality Control Ho Chi Minh City (IDQC).

Through this installation, Young In ACE has introduced its Korean-developed ICP-MS mass spectrometry technology to the pharmaceutical quality analysis sector in Vietnam.

IDQC – Vietnam’s Pharmaceutical Quality Control Institute

The Institute of Drug Quality Control Ho Chi Minh City (IDQC) is a pharmaceutical quality analysis institute under the Vietnam Ministry of Health.

The institute performs testing and quality control analysis for pharmaceutical raw materials and finished drug products, playing an important role in evaluating the safety and quality of medicines.

The newly installed ACE 3000 ICP-MS will be used for the analysis of metal impurities and trace elements that may be present in pharmaceutical products.

Installation and Technical Training for the ACE 3000 ICP-MS

Following the installation, Young In ACE also conducted operational training for local researchers on the ICP-MS system.

The training was designed as a hands-on program based on real analytical environments, covering the following topics:

  • Fundamental principles of the ICP-MS system

  • Instrument operation and analytical procedures

  • Data verification and interpretation methods

  • Instrument maintenance and inspection procedures

This training provided technical support to ensure that the IDQC research team can operate the system reliably and effectively for analytical applications.

ACE 3000 ICP-MS

The ACE 3000 ICP-MS is an elemental analysis system based on Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS).
It is a high-precision analytical instrument capable of detecting ultra-trace elements at the ppt(10⁻¹²)level, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial and research applications.

Key features include:

  • Ultra-trace elemental analysis (ppt level)

  • Precise analysis of metal impurities and trace elements

  • Applications in environmental, food, pharmaceutical, and semiconductor industries

  • High-sensitivity elemental analysis based on mass spectrometry technology

In particular, ICP-MS plays an important role in the pharmaceutical industry for metal impurity control and quality evaluation of drug products.

Expanding Global Supply of Mass Spectrometry Systems

Young In ACE continues to expand the supply of mass spectrometry systems to international research institutes and analytical laboratories, in addition to domestic customers.

Recently, the company has been actively promoting exports of Korean-developed mass spectrometers and technical collaboration projects across Asia.

Beyond supplying analytical instruments, Young In ACE provides a comprehensive technical support system that includes installation, training, and maintenance services, helping expand the global adoption of Korean mass spectrometry technology.

The company plans to further strengthen the global competitiveness of Korean mass spectrometry technology through collaboration with research institutions around the world.
