  • Young In ACE Participates in KOSAS 2026 Spring Conference

Young In ACE, a Korean mass spectrometry company, participated in the 76th Korean Society of Analytical Sciences (KOSAS) Spring Conference 2026, held from May 27 to 29, 2026, at St. John's Hotel in Gangneung, where it showcased its mass spectrometry technologies centered on the ACE 1100 IMR-MS.

The KOSAS Spring Conference is one of Korea's leading academic events in analytical science, bringing together experts from academia, industry, and research institutes in fields such as analytical chemistry, mass spectrometry, and spectroscopy to share the latest research achievements and technological developments.

During the conference, Young In ACE introduced its ACE 1100 IMR-MS (Ion Molecule Reaction Mass Spectrometer) and presented various application cases while engaging with researchers and industry professionals through technical discussions at its exhibition booth.

Analytical Technologies Are Moving Toward Real-Time and Field-Based Applications

Recent trends in the analytical market have shifted beyond accuracy alone, placing increasing emphasis on:

  •  - Real-time analysis
  •  - Field-deployable analytical systems
  •  - Low-concentration gas measurement

As environmental regulations become stricter and industrial safety requirements continue to grow, there is increasing demand for technologies capable of identifying and monitoring conditions directly at the source and in real time.

These trends have further increased interest in IMR-MS technology and its applications.

ACE 1100 IMR-MS │ Real-Time Gas Analysis Solution

The ACE 1100 IMR-MS (Ion Molecule Reaction Mass Spectrometer) is a mass spectrometry system based on Ion-Molecule Reaction (IMR) technology.

The system enables real-time analysis of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and various hazardous gases without sample pretreatment, while providing stable qualitative and quantitative analysis even at low concentration levels.

Key Features

  •  - Direct analysis without sample pretreatment
  •  - Continuous real-time monitoring
  •  - Stable analysis at low concentrations
  •  - Time-resolved tracking of concentration changes

Applications

  •  - Ambient air monitoring
  •  - Industrial safety management
  •  - Process gas monitoring
  •  - Research and laboratory gas analysis

With growing demand for low-concentration gas measurements in environmental and industrial applications, IMR-MS technology continues to gain attention as an effective analytical solution.

Technical Presentations by CEO Jin-Geun Lee

During the conference, Jin-Geun Lee, CEO of Young In ACE, participated as a featured speaker and delivered two technical presentations.

Presentation 1

"Development of Quadrupole Ion Trap Technology for Real-Time Field Mass Spectrometry Systems"

This presentation introduced current developments in next-generation mass spectrometry technologies designed for on-site and real-time analysis, highlighting future directions for field-deployable analytical systems.

Presentation 2

"History and Localization of Mass Spectrometers: Focusing on Technologies and Products"

The second presentation reviewed the historical development of mass spectrometry and discussed the current status of mass spectrometer localization in Korea.

The presentation emphasized the importance of technological independence in analytical instrumentation and introduced the progress of domestic mass spectrometry technologies, including the development of the ACE series.

Participation in the Research Industry Technology Exchange Meeting

Young In ACE also participated in the Research Industry Demand-Supply Technology Exchange Meeting held during the conference.

The meeting provided an opportunity for discussions among research industry stakeholders regarding:

  •  - Technical needs from research laboratories
  •  - Future directions of the research equipment industry
  •  - Expansion of industry-academia-research collaboration
  •  - Promotion of domestically developed research instruments

Through these discussions, Young In ACE was able to gain valuable insights into the evolving needs of researchers and industry professionals while exploring future directions for technology development.
